The Hong Kong market looks set for rebound after falling sharply for two sessions.

The market fell sharply again on Tuesday. Investors continued to sell their Chinese concept technology stocks. Hang Seng index opened down 600 points, H share index down 258 points and technology stocks down 209 points. Alibaba lost 8.8% for 97-point loss tp top the losers. Tencent lost 8% for 89-point loss. Meituan lost 7.55% for 59-point loss. AIA lost 2.9% for 30-point loss. Wuxi Biologics lost 6.9% for 22-point loss. Xiaomi lost 4.96% for 21-point loss. A shares opened down 31 points. The market fell further after opening, as Hang Seng index fell to a low of 18597, down 935 points. Heavyweights fell further. Mainland developers and property management shares fell sharply. CG Services lost 12% to lead the losers. Longfor lost 8.7%. Cifi lost 9.1%. Sunac lost 7.7%. Oils and metal prices fell. Resources stocks fell. CNOOC lost 3.8%. Petrochina lost 4.2%. Sinopec lost 2.3%. Chalco lost 6.2%. Jiangxi Copper lost 4.4%. Luoyang Moly lost 4.2%. Electric car shares fell sharply. Li Auto lost 17%. XPeng lost 9.15%. Nio lost 11%. BYD lost 5.4%. The market had support at low level, as investors went bargain hunting. Hang Seng index rebounded 600 points from morning low. Meituan rose 6.8% for 53-point gain. Geely rose 6.4%. Nongfu Spring rose 3.1%. A shares closed the morning down 70 points. Hang Seng index reached a high on 19392 points, on bottom fishing, down only 140 points. Mainland’s February economic indicators were better than expected. Investors went bargain hunting. Hang Seng index closed the morning down 584 points, H share index down 195 points and technology index down 89 points. Turnover was $145 billion.

The market fell further in the afternoon. Hang Seng index lost more than 1000 points. Technology and financials led the fall. Alibaba lost 11.8% for 130-point fall. Tencent lost 9.9% for 109-point fall. Ping An lost 12.37% for 81-point fall. AIA lost 6.8% for 72-point fall. CCB lost 4.4% for 53-point fall. Meituan lost 5.9% for 46-point loss. CM Bank lost 8.1% for 34-point fall. ICBC lost 3.3% for 21-point fall. Gold miners followed the price of gold lower. Zhaojin lost 5.68%. China Gold lost 6.8%. Zijin lost 8.1%. SD Gold lost 5%. Gongfeng Lithium issued positive profit alert. Share price rose 0.7%. Auto stocks were mixed. Geely rose 0.74%. Great Wall Motor rose 3.7%. However, electric car shares fell. Li Auto lost 13%. XPeng lost 7.3%. Sportswear shares rose against the market. Lining rose 1%. Anta Sports rose 0.9%. Prada turned from loss to profit in 2021. Share price rose 3.2%. Macau gaming stocks fell. Galaxy lost 10%. Sands lost 9.13%. Mainland developers fell. Longfor lost 14%. Country Garden lost 13%. China Overseas Land lost 8.7%. A shares closed down 159 points. Hang Seng index closed down 1116 points, H share index down 431 points and technology index down 306 points. Turnover was $286.1 billion.

Overnight, overseas markets were mixed. Crude oil fell sharply. Commodity prices also fell sharply.European markets fell. DAX lost 12 points. CAC lost 15 points and FTSE lost 18 points. US markets rebounded sharply. Dow Jones rose 599 points. S & P rose 89 points. Nasdaq rose 367 points. Chinese concept stocks rebounded strongly after recent selloff. Bili Bili rose 11%. ADR rose 258 points. Night future rose 547 points. We expect the market to rebound today.
