Georges Elhedery, CEO of HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK), said at the Investor Day that AI will wipe out certain roles in the financial industry while also creating new ones, and that the Group is retraining employees to address this challenge. He stressed that employees need to embrace AI-driven transformation rather than resist it, and should work together with the bank to harness this new technology.
