The three major A-share indices opened lower but closed higher. The Shanghai Composite Index mounted 24 points or 0.6%, closing at 3,913, with a turnover of RMB777.9 billion. The Shenzhen Component Index added 153 points or 1.1%, closing at 13,760, with a turnover of RMB10.5 trillion. The ChiNext Index rose 23 points or 0.7%, closing at 3,295, with a turnover of RMB460.8 billion. Optical communication concept stocks leapfrogged, with TKD SCI AND TECH (603738.SH) hitting the day’s limit. OPTOWIDE TECHNOLOGIES (688195.SH) swelled 10.6%. Innovative drug concept stocks advanced, with WANBANGDE (002082.SZ) and MENOVO (603538.SH) both hitting the day’s limit. HENGRUI PHARMA (600276.SH) spiked 6.9%. Besides, CATL (300750.SZ) soared 3.4%. BYD (002594.SZ) also rallied 2.1%. Lithium mining stocks were actively traded, with JIANG SPECIAL ELECTRIC (002176.SZ) and YONGXING MATERIALS (002756.SZ) both hitting the day’s limit.
