Lu Weibing, XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) Partner and Group President, revealed during an earnings call that the current spike in memory (RAM) prices is faster and stronger than the company expected, posing an immense challenge to Xiaomi's operations.

Lu believed that Xiaomi is in a better position compared to its peers in this regard, as the group maintains good relationships with upstream partners, giving it a relative advantage in supply pricing. Xiaomi will briefly absorb the related pressure through innovation and other means.

However, if the situation becomes unsustainable in the future, Xiaomi does not bar the odds of raising prices. Lu anticipated that after the price increase cycle ends, the industry structure will undergo reshaping, and some companies may even be eliminated.
