Willie Walsh, Director General of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), stated in an interview with Reuters that the escalating conflict in the Middle East will prop up ticket prices, resulting in "no winners". Global aviation demand remains strong, he noted, but if the conflict persists and leads to a shortage of aircraft fuel supply, airlines may need to reduce capacity. However, he mentioned that no airline is considering delaying or slowing down the delivery of aircraft at the moment, and they are proceeding with plans to receive more fuel-efficient planes.
