Trump: If Iran Continues Attacks on Qatar, US Will Destroy Iran's South Pars Gas Field

US President Donald Trump urged Israel to stop its attacks on Iran's South Pars gas field. However, he warned that if Iran continues its attacks on Qatar's energy facilities, the US will massively destroy the entire South Pars gas field. Following Israel's bombing of Iran's South Pars gas facilities, Iran attacked Qatar's energy facilities. Qatar reported that Iranian missiles wrought extensive damage to Ras Laffan Industrial City, the world's largest LNG complex. Trump also denied having prior knowledge of Israel's attack on South Pars, and stated that Qatar was not involved, countering reports that the attack was approved by the US. This morning (19th), Brent oil futures for May delivery spiked by 4.47% to USD112.18 per barrel, while New York oil futures for April delivery added by 0.9% to USD97.19 per barrel.
