Taiwanese memory manufacturer Nanya Technology (2408.TT) General Manager Pei-Ing Lee stated that the overall industry capacity expansion is limited from this year to the first half of next year, and precited that the current supply-demand imbalance will not improve until the second half of 2028.

Even though the increase in DRAM quotations seems to be slowing, the actual prices will not easily recede, and the overall supply-demand gap remains acute. The uptrend is estimated to persist until the end of the year.

Meanwhile, the proportion of DRAM usage in AI servers is increasing annually, rising from 4% in 2024 to 7% in 2025, and is expected to exceed 10% in the future. Looking ahead, the widespread application of AI inference is expected to entail greater demand growth potential.
