China's first "pre-positioned supervision warehouse" for cross-border e-commerce retail export, integrated into the production operations of e-commerce platforms, officially commenced operation in Weihai, Shandong, yesterday (2nd), according to CCTV.

Within a logistics warehouse of an e-commerce platform in the Lingang District of Weihai, staff are packaging and sorting cross-border e-commerce export parcels. These packaged parcels are then processed through customs at the "pre-positioned supervision warehouse" for cross-border e-commerce retail export. In just a few seconds, the goods can complete declaration and clearance, be packed on-site, and shipped internationally on the same evening.

Previously, after packaging and sorting, companies had to transport goods to customs supervision sites for inspection, complete clearance procedures, and then reload them into containers, Pan Jihong, Director of the Weihai Customs Office at the Post Office, said.

The "pre-positioned supervision warehouse" sets the customs supervision site directly within the company's production operations warehouse, embedding the supervision process into the operational process, allowing companies to complete declaration, inspection, and packaging procedures within the warehouse.
