BABA-W (09988.HK)'s Qwen App recently launched the 'Spring Festival RMB3 Billion Free Order' event, recording over 10 million orders within nine hours. Wu Jia, President of Qwen Consumer Business Group, said in an interview that the effect of the event on 6 February far exceeded expectations, with the first day's actual orders reaching 15 million, 15 times the initial estimation. Wu noted that, due to higher-than-expected user participation, the company's actual investment far exceeded RMB3 billion. The launch of the free order event was not for 'involution' but aimed to integrate AI into the daily life scenarios of ordinary people, which is something that will inevitably happen in the future, Wu added.
