On the eve of the US-China leaders' meeting in April, the US government has put on hold a series of national security measures targeting key Chinese technologies, Reuters quoted sources as saying. These measures include banning CHINA TELECOM (00728.HK) from operating in the US and restricting the sale of Chinese equipment to US data centers.

It is reported that the US also paused the proposed sales ban on TP-Link routers and shelved bans on the internet operations of CHINA UNICOM (00762.HK) and CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) in the US, along with another measure prohibiting the sale of Chinese electric trucks and buses in the US.
