With their short-selling ratios on the rise recently, major financial stocks subsided this morning (6th).

AIA (01299.HK), stretching last day's (5th) 2.5% downtrend, opened 4% lower amid the market rout. It once dropped by 5.5% to a bottom of HKD83.5 in early trading, below the 10-day and 20-day moving averages at about HKD88.1 and HKD85.8 respectively. Eventually, it ended the midday at HKD84.1, down 4.86%, with a volume of 25.4054 million shares, involving HKD2.144 billion.
