Rating agency Fitch has updated its monitoring report on the US effective tariff rate, currently estimating the overall US effective tariff rate at 12.7%, down from 13.6% reported in the update on November 5, 2025. The reduction reflects the decrease in the combined tariff rate on Indian imported goods from 50% to 18%, along with tariff reductions in Switzerland and revisions to the estimated percentage of ETR (total tariffs as a percentage of total imports) for Canada and Mexico.
