MIIT: CN Total No. of Mobile Phone Users Hikes to ~1.83B by End-2025

As of the end of 2025, the total number of telephone users across China reached 1.987 billion, with a net increase of 30.91 million for the year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the 2025 telecommunications industry statistical bulletin saying. Of which, the total number of mobile phone users was 1.827 billion, with a net increase of 37.25 million for the year. The number of 5G mobile phone users amounted to 1.204 billion, accounting for 65.9% of mobile phone users, up 9.2 ppts from that at the end of the previous year.
