Starting from last Friday (23rd), the minimum down payment ratio for commercial property (including "commercial-residential hybrid properties") loans in Shenzhen has been adjusted to no less than 30%, according to the announcement from the Shenzhen branch of the People's Bank of China and the Shenzhen Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau.

Based on this minimum threshold, commercial banks within the jurisdiction are allowed to determine the specific down payment ratio for each commercial property loan in accordance with market-oriented and legal principles and by factoring into their own operational conditions and customer risk profiles.
