Shanghai Xunmeng Information Technology Co., Ltd. (the operating entity of Pinduoduo (PDD.US)) was demanded to rectify within a specified period its failure of submitting tax-related information as required by the "Regulations on the Submission of Tax Information by Internet Platform Enterprises", according to what Xinhua News Agency learned from the Changning District Tax Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation in Shanghai. While the company did make corrections, they didn't take place within the stipulated timeframe, on which the authorities decided to impose a fine of RMB100,000 in accordance with the law.
