The HSI ended the day down 78 points or 0.3% at 26,844. The HSCEI fell 46 points or 0.5% to close at 9,220. The HSTECH dropped 6 points or 0.1%, closing at 5,822. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD255.079 billion. In the tech sector, KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) ebbed 1.5% on the issuance of USD1.5 billion and RMB3.5 billion senior notes. BABA-W (09988.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) rose 1%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) climbed 1.8%. TENCENT (00700.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) dipped 0.4-0.8%. JD-SW (09618.HK) faded 1.3%. In addition, ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) and TME-SW (01698.HK) plunged 5.2% and 4.7%. AUTOHOME-S (02518.HK) shed 2.1%, as the Cyberspace Administration of China criticized platforms, including AUTOHOME-S, for conducting irregular evaluations, disrupting the automotive industry market order. In the AI-related stocks, UNISOUND (09678.HK) plummeted 6.6%. KNOWLEDGE ATLAS (02513.HK) grew 3.7%. MINIMAX-WP (00100.HK) shot up 22.3%. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) hiked 2.4%. Its peer HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) rocketed 7.4% to surpass HKD100. Chip equipment maker ASMPT (00522.HK) ticked up 2.7%. As for other stocks, TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK) rebounded 1.3%. LI NING (02331.HK), GOLDWIND (02208.HK), and TECHTRONIC IND (00669.HK) jumped 3.5-4.9%. NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK) rallied 5.3%. POP MART (09992.HK) and LAOPU GOLD (06181.HK) dived 5.6% and 4.5%.
