Bill Pulte Said to Have Incited DOJ Subpoena for Powell

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued a subpoena to Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, accusing him of perjury related to the renovation of the Federal Reserve building. According to the sources quoted by Bloomberg's latest report, the instigator behind the subpoena was Bill Pulte, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). Some senior government officials, however, disclosed that the true driving force was the DOJ, not Pulte.
