Goldman Sachs released a research report predicting that the US economy will grow by 2.5% this year, as the impact of tariffs gradually fades and tax reduction policies further stimulate the economy.

The chance of a US economic recession occurring in the next 12 months is expected to decrease from 30% to 20%. The unemployment rate is projected to remain stable at 4.5% this year, although a further weakening of the job market could become a major risk for the economy.

Less US outperformance than before should lead to a less-strong USD over term, the report added. However, it is expected that USD will continue to experience a tug-of-war this year, with an overall moderate decline.
