150K+ Quality Merchants Open Stores on Tmall Last Yr, Setting New Record

Over the past year, more than 150,000 quality new merchants have established brands on Tmall, with the scale setting an all-time high, Tmall said in its "2025 New Brand Development Report". The number of brands achieving sales of over RMB100 million in their opening year grew by more than 40% YoY; within three years of opening, 276 new brands achieved annual sales exceeding RMB100 million, and 5,026 brands topping RMB10 million, with all figures notching historical highs. By industry, apparel, home appliances, home decoration, 3C digital, health, sports and outdoor, maternity and baby, home, fresh food, and jewelry were the top 10 industries with the most new brands achieving sales over RMB10 million in 2025.
