The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has protested China's strengthened export controls on dual-use items to Japan and demanded the withdrawal of these measures.

Mao Ning, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), stated that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's erroneous remarks regarding Taiwan infringe on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, openly interfere in China's internal affairs, and pose a military threat to China.
