China's economy maintained a steady growth momentum in the third quarter, underpinned by accommodative fiscal and monetary policies that boost domestic consumption and investment, the World Bank said in a report. However, due to a feeble labor market and declining property prices, household spending remains cautious, and investment growth slackens.

The World Bank forecast China's economic growth at 4.9% this year, slowing to 4.4% next year. Although unfavorable factors are expected to persist, recent fiscal measures and stable global trade policies may galvanize investment and exports.
