CN Mkt Sees Handset Shipments Rise 8.7% YoY in Oct: CAICT

In October, the Chinese market saw handset shipments grow by 8.7% YoY to 32.267 million units, according to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT). Among them, shipments of 5G phones amounted to 29.326 million units, up 9.7% YoY, representing 90.9% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period. China-made mobile phone shipments totaled 25.24 million units, up 7.6% YoY, comprising 78.2% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period.
