Hong Kong stocks showed little change in the morning session. The HSI opened 17 points or 0.07% lower at 26,067. The HSCEI opened less than 1 point higher at 9,198. The HSTECH opened 4 points or less than 0.1% higher at 5,666.

BIDU-SW (09888.HK) clarified that it is reviewing a proposed spin-off listing of Kunlunxin (Beijing) Technology, boosting its share price by 3.3% to become the best-performing blue chip.

For other techs, BABA-W (09988.HK) opened flat at $155, while TENCENT (00700.HK) slid 0.4%. JD-SW (09618.HK) and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) both ticked up 0.3%, while MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) lifted 0.5-0.7%. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) gained 0.6%.

Automaker GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) inched up 0.2%, while BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) opened flat at $99.15. LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) lost 0.6% and 0.1%, while XPENG-W (09868.HK) added 0.9%.

For financials, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) dropped 0.9%, while HKEX (00388.HK) added 0.2%. AIA (01299.HK) ascended 0.4%.

HAIER SMARTHOME (06690.HK) cascaded nearly 2%, making it the worst-performing blue chip. PETROCHINA (00857.HK) leaped 1.7%, while CNOOC (00883.HK) jumped up 0.3%.
