SJM HOLDINGS Terminates Acquisition of Property where Casino Ponte 16 Located

SJM HOLDINGS (00880.HK) announced that further to the Board’s earlier intention to acquire the property where Casino Ponte 16 is located, following a comprehensive business review, and after a thorough assessment of long-term business planning, commercial considerations, and resource prioritisation across the Group’s portfolio, SJM Resorts will not proceed with the acquisition. SJM Resorts and Pier 16 - Entertainment Group Corporation Limited mutually agreed and entered into a termination agreement. Upon Termination, Pier 16 shall cease to provide services to SJM Resorts at Casino Ponte 16 and Casino Ponte 16 shall cease operations. Casino Ponte 16 will officially cease operations ahead of schedule at 23:59 on 28 November 2025. Following the Termination, all gaming tables and gaming machines currently operating at the location will be redeployed to other casinos of SJM Resorts. Furthermore, all local employees employed by SJM Resorts will remain employed and be reassigned to other casinos of SJM Resorts to undertake gaming-related roles according to operational needs.
