The price of lithium hexafluorophosphate, an electrolyte material used in lithium-ion batteries, recently surged in mainland China. Its price trend has always been an important indicator of the prosperity of the lithium battery industrial chain.

Producers of lithium hexafluorophosphate and electrolytes, TINCI MATERIALS (002709.SZ) and DO-FLUORIDE (002407.SZ), stopped its incline, while TONZE (002759.SZ) mounted 3.7%.

Lithium stocks also ascended. GANFENGLITHIUM (01772.HK) once surged 11.7% to a high of $59.6, and last rallied 10% to $58.65, with a turnover of $2.132 billion. TIANQI LITHIUM (09696.HK) shot up 8.7% to $55.95, with a turnover of $676 million.

Recently, lithium hexafluorophosphate has been disrupting the new energy industrial chain with a 'a price a day' trend, according to the Securities Times. Currently, some market quotations are as high as RMB150,000 per ton, with mainstream transaction prices doubling from in mid-October.
