The U.S. Senate passed the appropriations bill, raising hopes for an end to the government shutdown, and leading U.S. bourse higher on Monday. Fueled by AI stocks such as Nvidia (NVDA.US) and Micron (MU.US), the Nasdaq surged impressively, pioneering the three major indices with a spike of over 2%, closing up 522 points or 2.3% at 23,527, just 40 points shy of the day's high.
