On Monday, Warren Buffett announced plans to donate Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A.US) shares worth over US$1.3 billion to four family foundations, and revealed his intention to accelerate the pace of donations during his lifetime. The 95-year-old Buffett will step down his role of CEO at the end of the year, and said that he will keep a low profile, including no longer writing Berkshire Hathaway's highly anticipated annual report or speaking at the annual general meeting.
