Jensen Huang: NVIDIA Asks TSMC to Increase Wafer Supply; No Talks with CN Firms on Blackwell Chips Yet

NVIDIA (NVDA.US) CEO Jensen Huang revealed that the company has requested TSMC (TSM.US) to increase wafer supply to expedite the release of critical GPU capacity in light of the rising global demand for AI.

Three AI memory suppliers, namely SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, and Micron (MU.US), have considerably expanded their capacity, providing support for HBM and advanced packaging supply, he mentioned.

Regarding the Chinese market, Huang noted that the company has not engaged in any discussions with Chinese companies about the Blackwell new product, nor are there plans to ship to China.

Any re-entry into the Chinese market will depend on market and policy conditions, he said, stressing that maintaining supply chain resilience under compliance helps reduce the fragmentation wreaked by de-risking the ecosystem.
