US research firm Nof1's Alpha Arena, an AI model virtual currency investment competition, concluded yesterday (4th). BABA-W (09988.HK)'s Qwen3-Max model outperformed by generating a 22.32% return over the 2-week investment period, while DeepSeek's V3.1 model ranked second with a 4.89% return. Moreover, among the six language models tested, the victorious BABA-W's model was the only one without reasoning capabilities, meaning it would not engage in step-by-step thinking before making decisions on investments.
