China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) Secretary-General, Cui Dongshu, stated that the national passenger car industry inventory reached 3.28 million units by the end of September 2025, up 120,000 units MoM and up 260,000 units YoY, reflecting the characteristics of inventory replenishment during peak season, Chinese news broke. The CPCA's forecasting team predicted that auto manufacturer sales will be robust in the coming months. The end-September inventory and the comprehensive estimate of future sales support future sales days at 39 days, compared to 50 days in September 2023 and 45 days in September 2024, indicating a considerable decrease in overall inventory pressure this September.
