The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) released its Half-yearly Monetary and Financial Stability Report. As of June 2025, the household deb-to-GDP ratio in Hong Kong decreased by 0.1 ppt to 87.8%. Household debt in Hong Kong grew by 1.8% in 1H25, an expanded increase from the 0.6% growth recorded in 2H24.
