CATL's (03750.HK) (300750.SZ) Jingxiawo lithium mine in Jiangxi Province will temporarily halt production for at least three months, Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources.

It is understood that the associated refinery in Yichun, a nearby city, has already received the relevant notice.

Meanwhile, CATL's Jingxiawo mining area ceased operations from 12:00 am yesterday (Aug 10), and it is not expected to resume production anytime soon, according to the sources cited by Chinese media.

Analysts pointed out that CATL is facing licensing disputes and production halts amid the Chinese government's strict crackdown on overcapacity in various industries and increased scrutiny of mining operations.
