DONGFENG GROUP (00489.HK)'s EV brand, Voyah, in collaboration with Huawei, officially launched its new BEV SUV, Voyah Zhiyin (literal translation of “嵐圖知音”), according to China Daily. The new vehicle will begin pre-sale next Wednesday (13th) and is expected to be launched by the end of August. Leveraging mature R&D capabilities, an intelligent production system, and an efficient and stable supply chain, the new Voyah Zhiyin achieved mass production at an unexpectedly fast pace, offering a new choice of “space, technology, and comfort” in the RMB250,000-class home BEV SUV market. As the first BEV model co-developed by Voyah and Huawei, the new Voyah Zhiyin embodies the technical achievements of 13 months of joint testing and tuning by both parties. The new vehicle upgraded five major areas: intelligent driving, intelligent cabin, intelligent chassis, three-electric system, and cabin comfort. Huawei-related features alone achieved over a hundred experience leaps, benchmarking the strongest BEV SUV in the RMB250,000-range, wrestling with Tesla’s Model Y and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)’s SU7 with differentiated competition.
