China Mobile Int'l Aims to Support HK as Global Innovation Center w/ Submarine Cable SJC2

China Mobile International held the AI+ Intelligent Computing Capability Cooperation Conference yesterday (6th), during which it launched three initiatives to support Hong Kong in becoming an international innovation center. Those initiatives involved the latest submarine cable resources, Southeast Asia-Japan Cable 2 (SJC2), the "AI+ Smart Finance" solutions, and collaboration with Cyberport to build an AI ecosystem. Specifically, the SJC2, jointly constructed by China Mobile International and its partners, was officially put into operation on July 16 this year. It stretches 10,500 km with a designed capacity of up to 126 Tbps. Utilizing optical wave division multiplexing technology, it extends its coverage to other major countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific with Hong Kong as the core node. AAStocks Financial News |
