BABA-W Unveils 1st AI Glasses Quark & Next-Gen Smart Cockpit

At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), BABA-W (09988.HK) showcased a range of AI-driven innovations. Among them, the group launched its first self-developed AI glasses, Quark. These glasses combine the Qwen large language model and Quark's multimodal AI capabilities, supporting functions like hands-free calls, music streaming, and real-time language translation, with deep integration into the Alibaba ecosystem. They are expected to officially launch in the Chinese market by the end of 2025. In addition, the latest large multimodal model (LMM) solution powered by the Qwen large language model has been specially designed for smart cockpits. This solution was jointly developed by Alibaba, global semiconductor giant Qualcomm, and its smart cockpit solutions provider Banma. By combining the Qwen model's visual understanding and multimodal capabilities with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8397 platform, it can deliver a more natural, intuitive, and proactive AI in-car experience for drivers.
