Chinese Premier of the State Council Li Qiang presided over a State Council executive meeting to study key policies to strengthen domestic circulation and to hear reports on regulating competition in the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.

One of the initiatives the meeting called for was a focus on promoting high-quality development of the NEV industry to address various irrational competition phenomena in this sector. It emphasized a combination of short-term and long-term measures to effectively regulate competition in the NEV industry. Specifically, there should be strengthened cost investigation and price monitoring as well as enhanced supervision and inspection of product production consistency.
