BABA-W Merges Ele.me, Fliggy into Alibaba CN E-commerce Biz Group

BABA-W (09988.HK) CEO Eddie Wu announced in an email to employees that Ele.me and Fliggy will be merged into the Alibaba China E-commerce Business Group effective immediately, Chinese media reported. This move is part of the group's strategic upgrade from an e-commerce platform to a big consumer platform. In the future, the company aims to optimize and integrate its business model and organizational structure from a user-centric perspective to create a richer and higher-quality consumer experience. Fan Yu will reportedly continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of Ele.me, reporting to Jiang Fan. Nan Tian will continue as CEO of Fliggy, also reporting to Jiang Fan. Ele.me and Fliggy will maintain their corporate management model, aligning their business decisions and execution with the centralized goals of the China E-commerce Business Group.
