StanChart's David Yim: HK Govt's 30-Yr HKD Bonds Oversubscribed, Reflecting Investors' LT Confidence in HKD

The Hong Kong government announced the successful pricing of around HKD27 billion equivalent in green bonds and infrastructure bonds under the Sustainable Bond Program and Infrastructure Bond Program, covering HKD, RMB, USD, and EUR. David Yim, Head of Capital Markets, Greater China & North Asia, Standard Chartered, said that the overall HKD public bond issuance has reached HKD146.3 billion YTD, up 18% YoY, showcasing a more active HKD bond market this year.
