In order to promote the coordinated deployment of computing power and electricity, China's National Energy Administration (NEA) launched yesterday (4th) the first batch of new power system construction pilot points focusing on national hub nodes and energy-rich areas such as Qinghai, Xinjiang, and Heilongjiang. This pilot project aims to integrate source-load-storage resources, coordinate the green electricity demand of data centers with new energy conditions, and enhance the proportion of green electricity in data centers through "green electricity aggregated supply." By relying on joint forecasting, flexible control, and intelligent dispatching technologies, it intends to enhance source-load coordination and reduce peak load pressure on the power grid. Meanwhile, the exploration of waste heat recovery and the combined operation modes of solar thermal, wind power, and photovoltaics will further improve energy utilization efficiency and supply stability.
