BYD to Co-build 15,000 Megawatt Flash Charging Stations

BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)(002594.SZ) announced that it will co-build 10,000 and 5,000 megawatt flash charging stations with Xiaoju Charging and Longshine respectively, totaling 15,000 megawatt flash charging stations.

On the foundation of the cooperative construction, along with the previously announced self-built 4,000 megawatt flash charging stations, more than 500 megawatt flash charging stations have been completed, covering over 200 key cities nationwide.

As a digitalized charging operator under Didi, Xiaoju Charging has collaborated with over 8,400 merchants and served more than 34 million users, whereas Longshine has connected to over 90% of public charging stations nationwide, covering more than 400 cities.

BYD envisioned that this cooperation will further accelerate the popularization of megawatt flash charging stations and expedite the construction of a nationwide megawatt flash charging network.
