China Film Administration issued management regulations encouraging service providers from Hong Kong and Macau to invest in establishing film production companies in Mainland China and to engage in film production activities. As approved by the market supervision and management department of Mainland China, existing Hong Kong and Macau investment companies can now add corresponding items to their business scope to engage in film production activities, effective immediately.
