Xiaomi Auto (SU7 and SU7 Ultra)'s sales have slumped for three straight weeks from weeks 16 to 19 of 2025, recording 7,200, 7,000, 5,700, and 5,200 units, respectively, with SU7 model sales also trending downward, according to insurance registration data provided by Li Yanwei, an expert from the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).

Over the past three weeks, controversies surrounding the SU7 Ultra’s locking mechanism and carbon fiber hood, coupled with rumors of declining resale values for used vehicles, have hindered sales, Li noted.

This has led to lessened leasing and scalper orders, alongside online cancellations, resulting in weekly sales sagging to approximately 400 units for the SU7 Ultra.
