Brazilian Official: BYD's Brazilian Plant to be Fully Operational by End-2026

Bahia state labor secretary Augusto Vasconcelos announced that BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)’s new factory in Bahia, Brazil, will be fully operational by December 2026, anticipated to create 10,000 jobs.

Previously delayed due to labor rights disputes, the factory will begin vehicle assembly this year, BYD noted.
