AIA announced this morning its results for 1Q ended March 2025. Its value of new business (VONB) reached US$1.497 billion, up 13% YoY on a constant exchange rate (CER) basis, or 13% on an actual exchange rate (AER) basis. UBS had earlier forecasted that AIA's 1Q VONB would grow by 8.5% YoY on a CER basis. The group's VONB margin came in at 57.5%, up 3 ppts YoY on a CER basis or 3.3 ppts on an AER basis.
