'Alipay Tap!' User Base Surpasses 100M

Alipay announced that its "Alipay Tap!" payment feature, launched last year, has excelled 100 million users. The feature spans over 300 ecosystem partners, covering more than 10 million merchants, residential communities, schools, and government service halls across over 400 cities nationwide. Cyril Han, President of Ant Group, stated that Alipay’s "Alipay Tap!" is evolving from a payment tool into a new entrance for future-oriented user services and a new entrance for digital operations for merchants. To enhance user experience, support ecosystem growth, and boost merchant business, Alipay will introduce three initiatives: opening the "Alipay Tap!" entrance, strengthening core technology R&D, and launching a RMB10 billion merchant support plan. Alipay will collaborate with Fudan Microelectronics (688385.SH) to develop a dedicated "Alipay Tap!" chip, improving sensing speed and interaction success rate, enabling compatibility with all smartphones.
