The HSI dropped 41 points or 0.2% to close at 19,073. The HSCEI slid 20 points or 0.3% to close at 6,741. The HSTECH added 22 points or 0.6% to close at 4,041. Total market turnover for the day amounted to $143.085 billion.

For techs, BABA-SW (09988.HK) and TENCENT (00700.HK) will release their quarterly results. BABA-SW climbed 1.8% to $82.65, while TENCENT picked up 1% to $381.8. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) rose 1.7% and 1.6%, while KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) gained 0.7%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) advanced 4.6%, while TME-SW (01698.HK) swelled 7.9% after it declared a dividend of US$6.85 cents per share. EAST BUY (01797.HK) surged 12.5%, while SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) slipped 0.7%.

Handset parts stocks BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) and AAC TECH (02018.HK) shed 3% and 2.7%, while SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) jumped 2%.

Chinese developer AGILE GROUP (03383.HK) tumbled 12.9% after it disclosed that it had not yet paid interest on its 2020 notes. KWG GROUP (01813.HK) waned 4.9%, while CIFI HOLD GP (00884.HK), SEAZEN (01030.HK) and SUNAC (01918.HK) cratered over 3%. XINYI GLASS (00868.HK) was downgraded to Underweight by Morgan Stanley, and its share price slumped 9.6%.

Chinese insurers PING AN (02318.HK), CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK) and CPIC (02601.HK) lost over 2%, while Chinese bank CM BANK (03968.HK) descended 3.3%.
