It is rumoured that US President Joe Biden will announce on Tuesday (14 May) the imposition of additional tariffs on electric vehicles, medical supplies and solar energy products from China.

Wang Wenbin, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), said the specific situation can be learned from the competent authorities. He added that China has always been opposed to the unilateral increase in tariffs, which violates the WTO rules, and threatened that China will take all necessary measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
