Elon Musk Purportedly Meets with CATL Chairman

CATL Chairman Robin Zeng visited the hotel Tesla (TSLA.US) CEO Elon Musk stays for his current trip in Beijing today (29th), Reuters reported. Witnesses said that Zeng came out of the elevator and shook hands with Zhu Xiaotong and Tao Lin, two senior Tesla executives waiting in the lobby. Xinhua News Agency reported that Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Musk yesterday afternoon (28th). It was later rumored that Tesla will start cooperation with BIDU-SW (09888.HK) on mapping and navigation functions, and that Tesla will be able to use Baidu's lane-level mapping information as the basis for its autonomous driving services in China.
