The HSI soared 342 pts or 2% to 17,626 at midday; the HSCEI rose 147 pts or 2.4% to 6,267; and the HSTECH added 129 pts or 3.7% to 3,684. Half-day turnover totaled $72.402 billion. SINO-OCEAN GP (03377.HK) rocketed 7.7%. CHINA OVERSEAS (00688.HK) and AGILE GROUP (03383.HK) surged 6%. YUEXIU PROPERTY (00123.HK), CHINA RES LAND (01109.HK) and KWG GROUP (01813.HK) jumped up more than 5%. Brokers CICC (03908.HK), CITIC SEC (06030.HK) and CSC (06066.HK) mushroomed more than 5%. CGS (06881.HK) and HTSC (06886.HK) swelled more than 6%. For other financials, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) faded 0.1%. HKEX (00388.HK) and HANG SENG BANK (00011.HK) grew 0.9% and 1.5%.
