MANULIFE-S (00945.HK) released the results of the latest "Manulife Asia Care Survey", revealing that the majority of Hong Kong citizens anticipate the COVID-19 pandemic to persist for at least one more year and is keen to gain a deeper understanding on "COVID-19 sequelae" (otherwise referred to as "long COVID"). The survey covered 8,000 people across eight Asian markets. Among the 1,000 interviewed Hong Kong citizens, 59% of them predicted that the pandemic will last for at least another 12 months, with one-fifth even contending that it will not come to an end. While the citizens are generally concerned about the socio-economic impact of the pandemic, most of them appeared to lack understanding on "COVID-19 sequelae", with only 15% of the respondents being aware of such condition, the survey added.
